The Aurargent collection combines gold and silver in designs that emphasise colour, contrast, and material. This collection creates an opportunity to view materials in a new light and discover new possibilities through unexpected combinations.<\/p>\n
This ring started with a Tahitian pearl that wasn’t quite suitable for use as a whole pearl. There were a few imperfections in it, so I decided to use it in a different way. Because it was precisely that shine and those beautiful colours that made her too beautiful to pass up. By cutting the pearl in half, a new shape was created that retained precisely those characteristics while giving the pearl an entirely new character.<\/p>\n
The half-Tahitian pearl takes center stage on the ring and is flanked on either side by two teal sapphires. The colour of these sapphires complements the pearlescent sheen beautifully and enhances the subtle green, blue, and grey hues that emerge when held up to the light.<\/p>\n
The ring consists of a 2.5 mm round band surrounded by an intricate silver design. Both 14-karat gold granules and silver granules have been incorporated around the pearl and sapphires. The blackened silver provides contrast and beautifully highlights the pearl’s luster and the sapphires’ color.<\/p>\n
The name Nerea subtly evokes the sea and, to me, captures the ring\u2019s luster, depth, and serene presence. A design in which materials, colours, and unexpected choices came together to create something new.<\/p>\n
It is a unique design.<\/p>\n
