Sirius with indigolite blue tourmaline- Sold

Visit to Inhorgenta in Munich and the Sirius Collection

In early 2022, I went for the first time to Inhorgenta in Munich, a large professional fair that sells gems and pearls, among other things. During this buying trip, I came in contact with a company that sold the most beautiful tourmalines, and I couldn’t contain myself…

I bought some very beautiful and high-quality tourmalines at the time. In the fall of 2022, I purchased a new set of five magnificent tourmalines from the same company.

I incorporated these five new tourmalines into a series of unique rings named the “Sirius Collection.” The collection is named after the brightest star in the sky, visible to the naked eye. Like the gemstones in these rings, it is all about clarity and the stunning effect of a single gemstone.

Contrasts and Structures

This series of rings is also all about the colours of the gemstones and how they combine with the processing of the ring. I love adding structure and texture to a ring’s band because it dramatically affects its final look.

Pictured is a ring with a round-cut indigolite blue tourmaline set in a 14kt yellow gold ring. The ring is deliberately left smooth and only matted so that the intensely beautiful indigolite blue tourmaline is shown to its best advantage. This shade of blue is rare among tourmalines.
