An open day at the studio in Beltrum – Sunday, May 25
On Sunday, May 25, you are welcome to visit my studio in Beltrum. Between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., the door is open to anyone who likes to drop in – regulars, acquaintances, people who are curious or would like to discover what I can do for them with my work.
You can stop by to have your Kobak jewelry refreshed – cleaned, polished or matted – free of charge so that it will look beautiful again. Of course there is room to view and try on the collection, or to talk together about a wish or commission. The coffee and tea are ready, and later in the day I like to pour a glass of wine with something sweet to go with it.
For me, this day is all about contact. To take time for you, the client, in a calm, open atmosphere. For years I found that moment at the Jewelry Art Fair – now I’m happy to continue that tradition, in my own way, here in the studio.
A personal portrait with a piece of Kobak jewelry
For those who think that is special, there is an opportunity this day to have a portrait taken by photographer Rik Balder. He takes understated, natural photos of you wearing a Kobak jewelry – a piece I made for you before, or something from the collection that appeals to you.
No stiff poses, but a relaxed moment at the table, in a peaceful setting. A personal image in which you recognize yourself.
We take about 30 minutes per session so that you are photographed in peace.
I have already sat down in front of Rik’s lens myself – just to feel what it’s like and see what kind of atmosphere we want to capture. You can see the result above: an image in which I recognize myself, along with some of my favorite jewellery.
Prefer not to be recognized in the photo? Very good.
You do not have to put your face in the picture if you are not comfortable doing so. We can also create an image where only the jewellery is visible – for example, from the neck or bust line. This also produces a powerful and personal portrait.
And of course: you are also welcome if you do not want to have a portrait done. Enrollment is there only for those who consciously choose to do so.
Refreshing Kobak jewelry? Just do it.
During the customer day, I will be happy to take a look at your Kobak jewelry. I clean it and – where necessary – give it another matte or glossy finish. This service is free of charge and just part of the day for me.
Tips for those taking photos
– Wear something you feel comfortable in and that shows off your jewellery beautifully
– A high neck or turtleneck can conceal necklaces
– Do you wear makeup? If necessary, bring something to update
– Are you hesitating between several Kobak jewellery pieces? Feel free to bring them, we will choose together what works best
Use of portrait photographs – respecting your wishes
You will always receive the photos taken personally. Only with your permission do I use one or a few images for my website, social media or print materials – to show how my jewellery is worn by the people I make it for. Your choice will be carefully recorded and fully respected. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
