Jewellery should be worn
With daily use, jewellery can wear, deform or damage. In my workshop in Beltrum, I provide repairs and maintenance with attention and craftsmanship so that your jewellery is safe and comfortable to wear again.
Wear day and night? Rather not
Many pieces of jewelry are worn day and night, but that does the material no favors. Gold becomes thinner, settings wear out and gemstones can become loose and fall out of the jewellery as a result. Clasps can also weaken, allowing a necklace or bracelet to slip off unnoticed.
In addition, some gemstones do not react well to cleaning agents and pearls are sensitive to perfume and hairspray.
I completely understand that you like to enjoy your jewellery, but wear them consciously and have them checked regularly. A small check often prevents grief as well as high repair or replacement costs.
What I can do for you
In my studio I am happy to help you with:
– repairing fractures or distortions
– enlarging or reducing rings
– checking and resetting of gemstones
– Replacing or reinforcing settlements
– polishing and refurbishing of jewellery
– repair or renew fasteners and links
– re-knotting pearl necklaces
I always discuss the condition of your jewellery and options beforehand, so you know exactly where you stand.
Safe and responsible
Not every piece of jewelry is technically still strong enough to repair. Sometimes costs can be higher than expected or recovery is not sustainable. In those cases, I explain this honestly and we discuss possible alternatives.
For certain work I cooperate with a professional repair workshop in Almelo. If necessary, I will have your jewelry appraised there and you will receive a clear quote in advance.
Provide long-lasting wearing pleasure
With proper maintenance, jewellery will stay beautiful for years. Consider:
– Have settlements checked regularly
– professional cleaning
– having pearl cords re-knotted
– Handle perfume, lotion, hairspray and cleaning agents with care
