Sirius ring with deep pink tourmaline

This ring from the Sirius collection is crafted in 14-karat yellow gold and set with a 7 mm (1.39 ct) round-cut deep pink tourmaline. The ring band has a pronounced hammered texture with soft curves and is then matted. This combination of relief and matte finish creates a subtle play of light and shadow. This gives the ring character without losing its sophistication.

The color and appearance of the stone

The meaning of Sirius

The name Sirius came about after a visit with my family to the observatory in Lochem. There an astronomer told us about Sirius, the brightest star in our sky and part of the constellation Canis Major – the Great Dog. In ancient cultures, this star symbolised brightness, direction and return. As I listened, I thought of the rings I had been making for some time: one stone, one source of light. That’s how I knew they had to bear the name Sirius.
